Learning Theories

In addition to traditional theories which are shown here, I combine Constructive, Behavioral, Cognitive, Humanistic, and Connective approaches to create transformative learning experiences, fostering critical thinking and independent learners. This style, ideal for adult and young adult education, may help plant seeds for a better world.
Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences

Understanding Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences is crucial for instructional design because not all learners all absorb information the same way. Some grasp concepts best through logic and numbers, while others thrive with hands-on activities or artistic expression.
By recognizing these different intelligences (linguistic, logical-mathematical, bodily-kinesthetic, etc.), instructional designers can create lessons that caters to various learning styles. This leads to a more engaging and effective learning experience for a wider range of students.
